This fee does not include shipping in either direction, or any parts required to repair your computer. It also doesn’t include repairing the motherboard or what is commonly called board level repair. The board level repair is when we need to use a soldering iron or a hot air rework station. We will never do any repairs that aren't authorized by you.

It is possible to pay for quicker service. It depends on what needs to be done. We can talk or chat about it after we've received your computer. You can also upgrade the return shipping from ground to expedited; the difference is added to your invoice.

Then you would only pay our diagnosis fee plus return shipping and insurance, and we would ship the un-repaired computer back to you. We may offer to purchase your computer from you to use as spare parts.

We only want your username and password if you want us to fix, install, or configure the operating system (Windows or Mac) on your computer. Do not send your username and password on a piece of paper along with your computer.

If you have one set, then we require it to configure and control the hardware and boot process on your computer.

A BIOS password is a security feature that restricts access to a computer's BIOS settings. A BIOS controls hardware configurations and the boot process outside of the operating system.

Most people do not have a BIOS password set and have no need to set one. Company laptops may have a BIOS password set.
